Kakadu Plum (Terminalia ferdinandiana) Bioactive Cellular Extract

BODI’s Soothing Serum contains the world’s first stable natural Vitamin C, providing the complete plant profile of phytoactive compounds as they are found in the Kakadu plum. This amazing extract is a potent natural antioxidant, reduces wrinkles and improves skin texture, enhances skin brightness, radiance and luminosity, increases collagen synthesis and improves elasticity.

The Kakadu plum extract used in BODI products has the highest level of Vitamin C and phenolic acids ever recorded for a Kakadu plum extract. BODI bioactive extracts don’t have solvents or synthetic additives. Rather, they are naturally derived compounds that are active and potent.

Active constituents of BODI’s Kakadu plum bioactive cellular extract have the following beneficial effects:

The synergism from the powerful compounds makes Davidson Plum a natural source of antiaging activity providing wrinkle prevention, reducing UV damage, brightening, anti-acne, collagen support, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant protective effects.

The compounds found in Davidson Plum bioactive cellular extract have the following skin effects:

  • Gallic acid assists to arrest DNA damage and has potent anti-wrinkle and anti-melanogenic activity and provides skin radiance and improves wound healing.
  • Tartaric acid provides potent human keratinocyte proliferation. Keratinocytes is the formation of a barrier against environmental damage. It is also a potent anti-acne active and studies show that tartaric acid can prevent skin irritation.
  • Anthocyanin is a potent antiaging active as it reduces DNA damage and improves mitochondrial functionality to promote regenerative capacity of cells. The compounds found in BODI’s Banksia bioactive cellular extract contain potent effects for the skin. For example,

  • Ellagic acid has potent anti-wrinkle activity and interrupts skin wrinkle and inflammation associated with chronic UV exposure leading to aging.
  • Phenolics attenuate or prevent the progression of skin disorders (i.e. rosacea), and have anti-aging benefits with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects.
  • Isohamnetin has significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.

BODI’s multifunctional Flame tree bioactive cellular extract has a number of compounds, released from within the cell walls, which are packed with powerful antioxidants, anti-aging actives, skin brightening and hydrating agents, including:

  • Rutin intensifies the antioxidant activity of Vitamin C, so is synergistic with it and is also a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory active. It also has powerful anti-melanogenic activity and is truly a multifunctional active.
  • Catechin is a powerful agent for the prevention of skin aging, and is a beneficial antiwrinkle, antiaging agent. It is a potent active against hyperpigmentation and solar damage of the skin.
  • Epigallocatechin protects cells from lipid peroxidation and DNA damage induced by free radicals. It is a potent anti-acne active with anti-inflammatory benefits and stimulates healthy collagen production providing antiwrinkle effects.
  • Tetra-hydroxyflavone is a powerful antioxidant and also has potent anti-inflammatory effects.
